What's not to love about Kubel's in Barnegat Light. We had the best service from Morgan & Jess our bartenders and Cameron our waitress. The Caesar salad with crab cake was outstanding. This place never disappoints and is open year round!

The Fish Tacos are amazing along with the Philly Cheese Steak and the fried green tomatoes

Excellent food. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice bar area. Popular hangout that is very busy in the evening for dinner, so you might have to wait, but well worth it.

The most amazing grilled short rib & cheese sandwich I’ve ever known😍. Also the other party at me table had a shrimp platter with fried perogies!

Delicious burgers and fries! Also great service.

Ate there the first day it opened. Very nicely distanced seating. Had tuna bowl lunch - delish. Will be back.

Nice bar & grill. Indoor & outdoor dining. Food is superb. Had the chicken & avacodo club sandwich. The best one I ever had. Great sweet potato fries. I will be going back again. The waitresses are super nice.

Local favorite seafood joint and pub. The menu is basic, but pretty good. Specials usually feature interesting seafood dishes, but tend to run over $30. Beer is always ice cold. It's usually pretty crowded at peak hours on the weekends. We always include a trip or two to Kubel's while we stay at LBI.

Great atmosphere, great food, particularly the local scallops. Just wish they would bus tables more quickly during peak dinner hours so there would be less waiting. I watched two tables in the bar area sit empty with dirty plates in them for at least 30 minutes. Is that really what the manager wants?

I’m not sure about most of the items on the menu but the chicken wings are inedible, they are the worst wings I have ever ate, I was not able to finish a single one. They are disgusting.

My family went here for our first time with outdoor dining after Covid 19 and it was great. Very friendly, quick, well distanced, food was good.

Wonderful meal. Crab cakes were out standing. Our server Van was extremely pleasant and attended our needs promptly. We had not been in a few years and the cobbler was not as we remembered it. Very good but different.

Great food and great service! Zack, our server was great. I requested something not even on the menu. He asked the cook and when my food came out I was not disappointed at all. Great food at a great price.

A great place if you are looking for really good food, decent prices, and a warm inviting atmosphere. Try the coconut shrimp-YUM! And the raspberry walnut salad was really good too. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's close to the lighthouse so it makes for a good place to stop after a lighthouse visit.

Great vibe in hometown place. Good happy hour, very reasonable drink prices. Only reason for 4* was that some apps were frozen foodservice, not homemade although cooked well. Crab dip was good.

Nice place to get casual but tasty food. Very nice outside eating tables with an overhang and fans to keep things comfortable. Not extensive but adequate craft beer selection. Friendly wait staff. If you're at that end of the island (lighthouse) then I this is a great place to hit for some casual eats and some drinks.

Food was decent and portions were large, price was also right. Our server Molly was excellent all around. I'd definitely return, I've been to Kubels too A few times but the first time at this location.

I’ve been coming here for twenty-five years and I’m always happy with the food and customer service. The whole place has been remodeled within the past year and it looks fantastic. I love Kubel’s

Scallops were amazing and our waiter carlton was super nice.

The oldest tavern on Long Beach Island, Kubel’s specializes in fresh seafood, including Bourdain’s favorite: clams. Order fried clam strips, clam chowder, steamed garlic clams, and fish and chips to replicate the meal he shared with his brother, Christopher. (Unfortunately, the lobster mac and cheese they ate was a special.)Bourdain sat in a booth just off the bar where his picture is propped against the window frame now. Waitstaff can regale you with tales of his visit.

Classic LBI joint. The views are very nice. Love the ambiance. Food is alright, I feel it is a bit pricey for what you get. Still love going.

We stumbled upon this place and it was delicious! I had the French onion soup which was nice and cheesy. The broth was perfect and not too salty. They had a short rib grilled cheese special which was out of this world! The rest of the family had fish and chips which everyone loved! Our waitress was really nice and attentive. We will definitely be coming back!

Loved this local placewe felt like locals - the staf was friendly, funny and welcoming at the bar. Litterally rubbed elbows with a few fishermen and wannabe fishermen - heard a few one that got away stories and storm stories and ate incredible crab dip and the freshest scallops i think i have ever had. just a great place!

The short rib grilled cheese (from the specials menu) was simply delicious! They make a tasty lemon drop martini and our server, Maggie, was a doll!

Always a fantastic place to visit when on the island. We typically will stop here on our last day after visiting the lighthouse. I had their dinner special of the Scampi Trio, but was disappointed. It wasn't bad. It was just okay though. The lobster was tough and chewy. The scallops were great and the shrimp was decent. The pasta was well cooked though. I could have gotten an equally good seafood dish in landlocked Indiana. I would have stuck with the Seafood Pot, but I would chalk it up to a one off. The service is always great. And I absolutely loved their remodel. The bar is gorgeous. And the lighter aethestic for the rest of the dining room really brightened the usual mood.

Great family friendly authentic seafood restaurant in the northern part of Long Beach Island. Portions are generous and service is great. I had the fried clam strips and they were awesome! Excellent selections on the menu. There is a cozy bar serving favorite brews to sailors and landlovers alike!

I went out to dinner with some locals for my birthday! Everything was very good. It was just an all around solid experience. It was also quite busy so plan ahead. I believe that the hostess was a bit overwhelmed and stressed out. So that was the only thing I can say wasn't perfect. Generally speaking it was an all around great evening!

Place was really cute. It was deceivingly bigger than I expected. The cocktails the food was outstanding!! If you love seafood, you must get an entree that incorporates that escpecially because you're so close to the ocean and everything is fresh.

We did takeout because of covid restrictions...Food was excellent. Service was fast. Online ordering was a pain so we just went.. our order was ready in 15 min! Plus they had specials which were delicious!I will definitely go again when you can sit down there.

I came to Kubel's with a large group (20 people), which included seven children. The service that we received was incredible! They were thoughtful, responsive, and friendly, and the food was delicious. Our server was brilliant. I will definitely be returning.

Had a great time here on Saturday. The food was great and the staff was super friendly and patient with our large group.The outdoor dining set up is adorable. They aren't taking reservations but you can get a drink while you wait for your table 👍

The Anthony Bourdain table. Food is eh okay.. and overpriced. This place is open year round so there are basically no other off-season open restaurant options that area.
